Leslie Lewis
Leslie works with teens and adults who are struggling with anxiety, depression, low self-esteem, disordered eating, relationship stress and substance abuse. She brings empathy, mindfulness and humor to her sessions to create an authentic and trusting relationship with her clients. Leslie has more than a decade of experience in 12-step recovery and meditation practices which she draws from in her work with clients. She believes in using a strengths-based perspective to help people see their inner resilience and have more confidence moving forward in life. Leslie advocates for weight-inclusive care that prioritizes pursuing health as defined by each individual.
Leslie blends her passion for mindfulness and yoga with her sober life in NYC. She believes that mindfulness can be woven into anyone’s daily life from noticing a cute dog on a walk and the sun on your face, to creating a daily meditation routine. Healing can start with one small practice like mindfulness. Leslie will help you find the routines that work for you. She utilizes DBT skills, CBT and strengths perspective to help clients meet their goals.
Leslie is currently enrolled in Tulane University earning her Masters of Social Work. She also attended Tulane for her BA in Art History with a minor in French.
